The Cottage

The cottage is a well built wood house from the 1950’s. Towards the south, there is an enclosed verandah with a view over farmlands and water. On the other side of the house you will find an outdoor eating area with a barbecue.

Area: 80 + 25 m2
Beds: 5

Ground floor (80m2)

livingroom with an open fireplace and large TV with Swedish and international channels

shower, wash room with washing machine
one bedroom with a queen-size bed
separate entry with handy hose for boot wash

In the kitchen are found: a big fridge-freezer, electric cooker with oven, microwave, wood stove, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle.

In the living room there is a modern textile print with details from the Överhogdal’s-hangings a thousand years ago from the transition period between heathendom and Christianity. They are the biggest attractions of the Jamtli museum in Östersund, Europe’s oldest and totally conserved textile. These original textiles show among other things a throng of animal figures, that according to interpretations has its origin in the old Norse world of Gods.
