Stugun
The nearest village is Stugun 10km away towards Östersund. There you will find among other things, ICA supermarket with a post office, coffee shop and bakery with ATG (for wagering on horse racing), restaurant, OKQ8 petrol station, churches, hembygdsgård (reconstruction of Swedish rural life), tourist information office.
Stugun’s old church is a well worth seeing wood church from the 18th century. Music entertainment during summer.
In the hembygdsgården there is coffee served every day during summer.

Hammarstrand
In Hammarstrand (about 35km towards Sundsvall) you will find among other things an ICA supermarket, Koop (grocery store), Statoil petrol station, bank, cash dispenser, coffee shop, restaurant, pharmacy, Systembolaget (alcohol retailer), florist, pet shop, fishing tackle shop.
In Hammarstrand’s Radio Museum are shown radios, phonographs, gramophones, music boxes, crystal receivers together with photographs, cameras, cinema projectors, accordions and a lot more from 100 years ago. Location: Kullsta old school, Hammarstrand.
In Vättaberget’s Vilthägn (around 39 km) you can see elks up close.

Krångede Energy Plant Museum is situated next to the Krångede energy plant along side road 87.
Överammer’s Bird Museum (13km) contains over a 1000 stuffed birds and animals, also some butterflies, shells etc.

The village of Skyttmon (44km) contains a number of "wooden castles" built during the end of the 19th century. You may now take part of guided tours, fish and walk along the cultural environment trail.
Östersund
It is 60km to Östersund.

The steam boat S/S Thomé (from 1875) makes day trips during summer to islands in Lake Storsjön.
Jamtli Historieland and Museum
The museum’s most famous attractions are the Överhogdals Textiles. During summer, a whole village is opening up outside with farms. The museum received three stars in the Guide Michelin.

The Silversmith Kerstin Öhlin Lejonklou’s store and workshop opposite the court house. She is among other things smith of honour in the Nutida Svenskt Silver and received the Prince Eugen-medal in 2004.
