Winter
At cottage Brunkulla you can experience a real winter with snow and ice. Nice environment for families with children. You can put your ski’s on at your door step and go cross country out in to the forest or out in the fields. The children can ride on sledges.
If you would like to try out slalom, there is a smaller slope with a ski tow at Stugun (10km) and a larger slope at Kullsta in Hammarstrand (35km). At Stugun and Hammarstrand you will also find processed cross country tracks.
Celebrate Christmas and New year in peace with snow in the trees, an open fireplace in the house and with a sauna after your walk or skiing tour. The days are short but it is a special experience to ski in the moon light, or take a walk to see all the stars. Chances are good to see the northern lights!
Late winter is very special in Jämtland, everything are lighter and one will catch a tan from the sun that is reflecting in the snow. Winter breaks and Easter holidays are perfect being spent here.
